USA TODAY BEST-SELLING BOOK The rules: no kissing on the mouth, no staying the night, no telling anyone, and above all... No falling in love Anna Jones just wants to finish college and figure out her life. Falling for star quarterback Drew Baylor is certainly not on her to do list. Confident and charming, he lives in the limelight and is way too gorgeous for his own good. If only she could ignore his heated stares and stop thinking about doing hot and dirty things with him. Easy right? Too bad he's committed to making her break every rule... Football has been good to Drew. It's given him recognition, two National Championships, and the Heisman. But what he really craves is sexy yet prickly Anna Jones. Her cutting humor and blatant disregard for his fame turns him on like nothing else. But there's one problem: she's shut him down. Completely. That is until a chance encounter leads to the hottest sex of their lives, along with the possibility of something great. Unfortunately, Anna wants it to remain a hook up. Now it's up to Drew to tempt her with more: more sex, more satisfaction, more time with him. Until she's truly hooked. It's a good thing Drew knows all about winning. All's fair in love and football...Game on

A really nice sports romance. While I enjoyed the story, I definitely felt this is one of those books where a little more communication would go a long way.

#two4tuesday

🥎 I used to like running & playing tennis. But I no longer have a tennis partner & running hurts all the things. I like swimming but currently lack access to a pool. And sailing but haven‘t gotten around to finding a marina yet. Not big into team sports & not a big watcher of sports, but I will if I‘m at a bar or with someone else.

📖 tagged - despite not being into sports, I do love a good sports romance

marleed I was just talking to a 4 pickle ball players as I walked by some courts. One guy told me he loves tennis but it‘s hard to find players (in this area) with like skills and accommodating times. He said pickle ball is so easy to learn that he can easily play a game of doubles just about anytime he‘s available to play. 1y
wanderinglynn @marleed I understand the appeal of (the poorly named) pickle ball, but it‘s not my cup of tea. But I know a lot of people who do like it. 1y
marleed @wanderinglynn i played it one afternoon almost 2 years ago with a visiting sister but haven‘t played since. unlike the other courts are ball was not contained in its boundaries which was so ridiculous it wasn‘t even embarrassing! We decided to play as a ‘team‘ to 21 points only scoring when we could volley and volley again after either of us produced a successful serve. It was a hoot. I suck at sports! 1y

TheSpineView I so understand the hurting part. Getting old is not easy on the joints! Thanks for playing 1y
MissyD Sports? I don‘t play sports. But I love watching hockey. (Which is off for a Cajun girl from Louisiana to say 🤣). A book about sports; Carrie soto is back by Taylor Jenkins Reid 1y
wanderinglynn @MissyD awesome! 🙌🏻 and welcome to Litsy! To play these games, take a screen shot of the image, and then repost, tagging the host (in this case the host is TheSpineView). 😀 1y

“You have my heart, Anna. And every time I had to walk away from you, every time you walked away from me, it felt like it was being ripped out of my chest. It fucking hurt, Anna.”

Been reading a lot of romance featuring heroes who are smart, kind, level-headed athletes. My current favorite type of book boyfriend 💖

I re-read this book, and I love this book series. I love how I love the whole freaking 3 book series, because that's rare for me to enjoy all 3 books. I love Drew "battle" Baylor, he's such a sweet and sexy guy. I also enjoyed the fact that he had feelings for her and admitted his feelings for Anna. She was scared and didn't want to get left behind once his career shoots him into the lime light. I get why she wanted to keep herself guarded.

Not really sure why I picked up this book. A college based romance between a star athlete and the late bloomer. So cliche.

I read this whole series. It had its strengths but I didn't feel like the author really knows what it's like to go to an SEC school. Or that there's already a Georgia State. Also, esp the 1st book, just wanted them to go to counseling + campus ministry first.

emilyjane I just realized one of the things...apparently the author thinks college football games happen on Sunday. (On rereading...) 8y
