#SchoolSpirit #Play A selection of plays from my collection. I was straining my brain trying to remember what plays were performed in my high school, I got nothing! 😁

Liz_M I 💜 The Balcony (just a guess, but I don\'t think it was performed at your high school or any US high school ever 😂) 1mo
Eggs 🖤 🎭 🧡 1mo
Ruthiella I was in a production of “The Bad Seed” my senior year. 1mo

#julyjourneys #stageplays There is nothing like live theater. It‘s been a long time for me.

JoyBlue I was seriously invested in Long Day's Journey Into Night in high school. I'm overdue to reread.

Hope you're digging A Promised Land. I sure did!

Love, love, love your Hunter S. Thompson quote above!!!!

Leftcoastzen @JoyBlue thanks ! I like Obama‘s book but I‘ve been really slow in reading it , mostly because I own it .I end up with too many library books that I can‘t renew & book club commitments .😀 3y

One of O'Neil's greatest plays, its focus on a strained family's relationships to one another is masterclass in script writing, particularly it's blocking being incredible. Must read for those into American drama.

This has been an extremely long day. I got to sleep in two 2.5 hour intervals due to kitty needs & then having to be up for work. Kitties came to work w/ me & with the help of co-workers, they were well cared for. My kids were shocked & excited & names were given. Which is cool because I've learned to tell them apart! The sickest of them finally ate well this evening & went potty a lot, so I'm hopeful! Still no good poops from any of them though.

madamereadsalot1 Pictured is the sickly cat, being silly and rolling around while its siblings try to sleep, showing its much improved condition! 5y

Another in my list of reasons it sucks to not being at least within driving distance to NYC.

CarolynM There have been so many great productions I wish I could have seen. I just remind myself of all the wonderful ones I have seen. We are all limited to our own locations (and time for that matter). Mind you, this is one I would travel a long way for! 6y

Long day today for Abby and me.We went on the boat with the family since 8:00am and just got home a hour ago. Abby didn't have her nap today(usually form 11am-2pm) and i was on the boat trying put her to sleep for 4 hours. She was so tried that she didn't know what she wanted. By time 3:30pm come around I end up giving up.On a short note I didn't get to read at all today. Abby finally asleep so I'm read a little and have another big day tomorrow.

#JubilantJuly Day 18 - Journey

This play follows the Tyrone family - and the alcoholism, drug addiction, resentment, illness, yearnings, and dysfunction that define them - over the course of a single day.

Daunting, poignant and still relevant. I was exhausted.
