I found this to be a rather disappointing follow-up to The Riverman. It was a quick read, but I struggled with the unlikeability of one of the primary characters. Evil kids are something I struggle with reading, and Charlie is evil. The end twist wasn‘t a complete surprise, but was well done. I‘m just not sure if I want the trilogy resolution enough to read the third book. 🤔

DGRachel @erzascarletbookgasm It may just be an #unpopularopinion that I have. The Goodreads score is higher for the second book than the first, so there‘s that. I personally struggle with irredeemable darkness in children, it creeps me out, so this was a very difficult one for me to read. 6y

I actually finished mowing my entire yard! As a reward, the rest of my Saturday plans are book, couch, and cuddles with #Bailey. Oh, and probably a Benedryl induced nap. 😴😴😴

(And funny story-my couch has reclining seats. Bailey accidentally hit the button with her paw and startled herself. I‘m dying over here, laughing. She gave me the side eye. 😒🤣🤣 6y

DGRachel @Chellebearss I haven‘t interacted with any of the social aspects of LT. I use it exclusively to catalog my print books. I use Goodreads to track what I‘ve read and for reviews. Litsy is my big bookish social media and it has put a series dent in my budget. 😂 6y
