The book begins quite powerfully with a moving essay from Dolores Huerta, who spoke about her pathway to activism and community organizing. I just finished this one while running. I enjoyed it, especially Libra Bray‘s essay and the one about the girl who brought the preserved cow eye to school. When I was in 7th grade, I found a dead mouse on our front walk. My dad (a dentist) helped me preserve it in a jar and I took it in to my science teacher! 😂😂😂😂

I have been reading this while running on the treadmill at the gym. I am really enjoying it so far!

This fabulous book was found in my school library. All about self love, respect, rights, and overcoming adversity as a female. It is comprised of many true stories from women in different time periods and professions. Love! ❤️

I loved this book! True stories of women throughout history and in present day. They are inspirational and I highly suggest you google some of them to get more of their accomplishments. I love knowing that sometimes they faced obstacles and overcame and sometimes they moved on because life isn‘t perfect and we aren‘t all meant to win at everything. I loved all the different personalities in the stories. It was a good book to end the week on!
