Charming memoir of life as a policeman in the Isles of Scilly
Thank you Rachel, your letter just arrived. Thank you for all the goodies and the book. BTW, I'm sure my daughter will snag that cat bookmark the moment she spots it.
Looking forward to meeting you in person, too. Just a few more weeks!

Loved this. Life as a police officer on the Isles of Scilly, where I spent many childhood holidays. It‘s a proper comfort read - there are cats, birds, chases, bombs, stag parties and a high number of ridiculous situations. I really liked his humour - he manages to take the mick, without ever being disrespectful to the islanders.
Plus OLD Scilly bookmarks- the one on the left is at least 36!

The lighter side of being a cop- life as a police officer on the Isles of Scilly, 30 miles off Land‘s End, SW England. Even includes a story about ‘Songy‘, the resident sports teacher/fitness instructor. TBR, obvs- it may well be my Happy Place book for #Booked2019! #copsong #musicalnewyear
This is the perfect antidote to a dreary rainy weekend. Policing on the Isles of Scilly may not be as fast-paced as it is on the mainland, but there is no shortage of unusual activities. The writing is warm and light, with plenty of self-deprecation. Very much recommended 😊

This book is my account of some of the more unique aspects of policing the Isles of Scilly. I really hope you enjoy them and if we should meet, please don't end up in one of my stories.
