The premise was intriguing enough...a woman's podcast reopens the case of her cousin's disappearance, only to incite a new string of murders related to the victim. Each chapter definitely held my attention, but I completely guessed who the killer was about halfway through the book. There was also a side story of romance that didn't seem to fit the characters or plot at all. When I got to the end, I just felt frustrated. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #Netgalley

I‘m glad I discovered Mary Burton books. I was hooked from beginning to end. I wish the ending didn‘t feel rushed. I wasn‘t left hanging or anything....the ending was complete but I just wish it went into more detail on the original case.

Meh I really didn‘t like this book. I only finished it because I wanted to confirm I was right about who was killing and who Killed Gina 15 years ago.

This book wasn‘t for me, I felt I was being told what was going on instead of actually being a part of it. And that romance was out of left field and I felt wasn‘t necessary for the story.

This is a favorite author and she doesn‘t disappoint. If you like a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat then this is the book for you. She develops the characters and the romance develops over time.

Compelling storytelling with a tough, vulnerable heroine, and sexy hero at the story‘s centre. The novel is well crafted, suspenseful mystery with creditable suspects, twist and turns that keep you reading and a little romance to keep it real.

Kaitlin was the lone witness to the abduction of her cousin Gina, 14 years ago. She remembers that Virginia road. She can still see the masked stranger and hear Gina‘s screams. And she still suffers the guilt of running away. So she decides to interview everyone associated with the crime for a podcast that could bring closure to a case gone cold.

But a woman she questions is later found stabbed to death, has she drawn the killer out of hiding?

Her Last Word is a great suspenseful thriller. A woman starts investigating a cold case involving the night her cousin went missing. Murders begin to happen and they all seem to be connected to her cousin's disappearance. This is the first book I've read of Burton's and I look forward to more of her work. #netgalley #arc
