Reading for romance book club, and, as expected, not aging super well (and I did read closer to original pub when I was a teen). Anticipating a good discussion.

Bk 4/8: time travel! Sleeping beauty...erm, beast? A woman out to live a little & a 16th century laird she falls upon. Lots of inner thoughts about sexual cherry picking-hilarious IMO. Druid magick, Romny magic, misinterpreted visions, & miscommunications. A funny bit in a garderobe. No character connection to bks 1-3; time travel & Druid/Túath Dé magick is the connection here. A hitch in the get along turns bad but wait, could there be more?
WOW this may be the fastest I have ever bailed on anything. Unchallenged racism, fatphobia, AND a weird obsession with losing your virginity to give your life meaning??? No Thank You!
I'll still try a podcast, though.
I have decided to try not 1 but 3 different romance podcasts and have decided to read along with all of them, which means trying books I probably never would have otherwise. Case in point!
I tried to finish this but there were just fat to many references to the character's "cherry" to the point that it pulled me out of the story and seemed to be all she thought about.

I angsted, I swooned, I laughed so hard I cried, and I cried so hard I sobbed. Yep, this is definitely a historical fiction romance I got swept up in. But really, when can I go to Scotland?
(Rereading series)
This is by far my favorite in the series. I love Drustan and he is just so swoon worthy.
My favorite thing about this is the story delves into Druids and the history of them. Drustan's family is the last of the Druids in Scotland. He meets Gwen in the 21st century and is attracted not only physically but to her brains. As the story goes on he loves how smart she is and I just love that.
Great time travel historical romance.
#sizzlinsummerbooks #timetravel Kiss of the Highlander is my favorite romance novel of all time. Whether it's modern women being plucked from their lives by tricky fae and being sent hundreds of years in the past or 17th century Scottish lairds being cursed to sleep for hundreds of years to wake up in the present. This series is so much fun and sets up so much of the lore that was used in the Fever series. #DrustanMacKeltarforever 😍❤️
I've been seriously ignoring this book and spending all my time with SanSan fan fiction! Need to get back into it! (Oh, and I read another book halfway through so that didn't help my progression either!)
"Just be quiet, behave, and let me order."
"I am being have."
:snort laugh:
Finally got to a MacKeltar book. The whole reason I started the Highlander series was because them. First one shows up in book 4.
