15 posts | 20 read | 16 to read
In this thrilling new Night Rebel series set in New York Times bestselling author Jeaniene Frosts Night Huntress world, sexy and ruthless vampire Ian finally meets his match! The Rule Breaker... Master vampire Ian is unrepentant, shamelessand every shade of wicked. Hes made one too many enemies in his two centuries of existence, including Dagon, a demon who now lays claim to his soul. Ians only chance to escape Dagon is to join forces with a Law Guardian, but he's never been able to abide by the rules for long. The Law Maker... Veritas normal role is police, judge, and jury to reprobates like Ian. But she has her own ax to grind with Dagon, so if she can use Ian as bait...well, alls fair in law and war. As they scour supernatural hotspots to perfect their trap, Veritas soon realizes Ians carefully cultivated, devil-may-care roguish image hides something much more powerful. And Ian discovers Veritas has shocking secrets of her own. As theyre drawn to each other with a passion as intense as their peril, either love or justice will prevail. But each will have devastating consequences.

It‘s been so long since I read Cat‘s books that I think it made it a little less enjoyable because I couldn‘t remember who Ian was or who Veritas was, though, I think she was a more minor character.

But otherwise, it was a fun book. I can‘t wait to read the next in the series.

I took today off from work, just because. Peri and I just did a walk and I need to make some lunch. I had planned on getting my oil changed, but they are putting all new road down on my street and I don't think I want to take the hassle of making my way out. So I'm going to read instead. 😉
I finished my previous read last night. Now onto some urban fantasy. I ❤️ Ian.

Second read:
Reread this one before the new Wicked Bite,
I still loved how she managed to have each of them surprising each other constantly with their hidden selves, which kept bringing them closer. Fingers crossed, book two keeps that same wickedly fun vibe.

Stand-alone spinoff from Night Huntress series, though it would enrich the reading to have a passing familiarity with some of the characters. Law guardian heroine is hiding secrets about her family/past while teaming up with a notorious playboy vampire to takedown the demon who holds his soul. Violent but in a fun way (for me), with a multilayered romance and sense of adventure.

I really enjoyed this one, and feel like Frost is back on her game. I enjoyed the original Night Huntress series, and both Spade and Mencheres standalone books, but Vlad which I had greatly anticipated just wasn‘t the same for me.... but Ian did not disappoint! Fun and fast paced read with our favorite bad boy who has met his match. 😏

At the start of this story I was not loving Ian very much. He just rubs me all the wrong ways. I was intrigued by Veritas, though, she was quite the puzzle and I had to know more about those layers. Luckily I was intrigued because otherwise I would have missed out on an exciting paranormal romance filled with action and battles. I loved reading this story!  Full review at www.thegenreminx.com #bookreviewer #TheGenreMinxBookReviews

I loved this book so much! I honestly never thought I would be rooting for Ian much less reading a book with him as the hero. Ian and Veritas are right up there with Cat and Bones❤️ I cannot wait for the next book!

Highlight of my weekend was meeting Jeaniene Frost at Avon KissCon yesterday. She‘s as funny and sarcastic as her books.
