This feels like a recycled story. New group, similar issues, tension, etc, etc, etc....

I was a bit bored and wanting something different to happen.

This volume didn‘t have a lot of action, but I‘m cool with that because after 30 volumes, seeing them constantly mow down zombies gets a little old. We are introduced to a new community which is sure to shake things up a bit. This one was quite enjoyable. 4⭐️

ShyBookOwl Nice! I have fallen behind. Issue #159 is the last one I have. I may play catch up sometime this year. 5y
JenlovesJT47 @shybookworm do you have Hoopla? So handy that they‘re all available there! 5y

Soooo much work and bad news in my life this week... Escapism, for the win!

Same story, new Big Bad. If you have made it through the first 29 volumes, then you‘re probably here for the long haul.

Crazeedi Sorry to hear you had bad news, I hope your escape is refreshing for you 5y
cobwebmoth Sending positive thoughts. 5y
Lauram Sending good thoughts. Zombies sound like a good escape. 5y
readordierachel Glad you found an escape! 5y

Gave this one 5 stars on #Goodreads. Right when things get stale and you wonder how on earth #RobertKirkman can keep things fresh, he figures it out! And wow! Never imagined the new kind of society discovered in this installment. And there‘s a sweet reunion for one major character. I‘m eager to see what happens next! I was getting bored with the whisper people who covered themselves with flesh.

Hanging out in my hubby‘s home office while he writes some grants. I‘m not sure I like the direction of this volume. So far it‘s very more of the same.

#bookhaul Hubby‘s coffee maker was in need of a cleaning. The cleaner was an add on item, so I just had to buy something to make the order.

New groups, new possibilities, and new potentials for trouble.... lots of set up in this volume, that all has to be continued later

Up next for me!

Then I really need to do some Discworld #PratchettPosse catch-up, I‘m about 3 books behind there. 😱

An expedition from Alexandria discovers a new community—the largest one TWD has ever seen. It looks to be fascinating, allows for one big reunion(!), and sets up potentially a lot of story. The slow moments and the emotional beats here are also very, very good. The volume is only hurt by some characters making some decisions that frankly don‘t make a lot of sense and by some wooden dialogue. But I am really excited to see where this goes.
