One's set to assassinate Elizabeth I and the other's set to stop it. This stand-alone historical fiction YA novel sets up at The Globe Theater with the plot of the Bard's Twelfth Night being played out on the stage and echoed in reality. Picked this up because of the time period and the allusions to intelligencers.

Mehso-so

Im honestly pretty underwhelmed and disappointed. This book simply fell flat. The plot was pretty basic, underdeveloped and rushed through. I'm not sure why the author brought in William Shakespeare because he wasn't particularly well used. The romance was simply basic and Tobby+Kit had no chemistry. I did love that there was bi rep though! The premise had promise but really poorly executed. Author is a fan of info dumping too which...booooooooo

mdemanatee Ohhhh nooooo. I was hoping for a good Elizabethan romp ‘cause it‘s been a bit. Well, at least I have a library copy and didn‘t autobuy like I can tend to do for these. The library did purchase at my recommendation though. 6y

This witty, charming book releases TODAY! And my blog tour post with giveaway is up!
Set in 1601, Twelfth Night is the backdrop: Katherine Arundell must avenge her father‘s execution at the hands of Queen Elizabeth I.
This 5 star read gives revenge, murder, wit, charm, and romance. Shakespeare would approve ⭐️

I was very lucky to get my hands on, not one, but two ARCs of this book! Releases SOON!
Set in England, 1601, Shakespeare is using his upcoming performance of Twelfth Night at the Globe Theater to draw in the supposed would-be (Catholic) assassin of Queen Elizabeth I. And Katherine Arundell of Cornwall, dressed as a boy, who has tried out for one of the parts, is the would-be assassin.
This is heaps of fun, and has lots of history references 💓👑

kamoorephoto **Just finished this and will review soon and put up link to my review post; I‘m giving it a 5/5, I loved it so much ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 6y
