This is a short story collection set in Singh's Guild Hunters world. Three of them take place prior to the events in the series. One takes place after book three. I was a bit wary after the first story. I didn't like that one much as it felt like I was reading a few chapters from the middle of a book rather that a completely rendered story. The other three were all better done and I found myself drawn into each.
“I‘m immortal,” she reminded him when he released his grip on her wrist to curve his fingers around that throat. “You can‘t hurt me.” A laugh that sounded like broken glass. “There are ways to hurt a woman that have nothing to do with anything so simple as pain.”
