Mystery of the Fool and the Vanisher | David Ellwand, Ruth Ellwand
2 posts | 2 read | 1 to read
In a journal-within-a-journal, stunning photographs reveal the magic of the natural world and the mystery of the imagination as a flint stone with a hole through it leads to a search for fairies that haunt the English Downs. By the creator of Fairie-ality.

Mehso-so

Finished my 2nd book for the month — also happens to be my #DoubleSpin — quick read about mysterious objects and pixies. It had pictures too which helped with the atmosphere of the book.

I will include a detailed point break down in the comments, but between this and more of my audiobook adventure I now have a total of 151 points
#cyoreadathon #screamathon2020 #bookspinbingo #scarathlon2020 #teamharkness

bibliobard Point break down of audio book short stories, one ended up being set during Halloween so that got me even more points: Changeling +15, The Oval Filter +15, Red +25, Lygia + 5, The Fall of the Bank of Usher +5 = 65 points 4y
bibliobard I have read 3 hours for both #CYOReadathon and #Screamathon2020 = 60 points 4y
bibliobard And 1 hour for #BookSpinBingo = 10 points 4y
bibliobard And finally this book was 15 points because it matched the theme. Not to mention +1 participation...so I think that‘s everything. Juggling the reading challenge points is probably the most difficult part. 4y

Pickpick

#WitchyReads Day 28: Instead of your usual illustrations/colorful sketches, the book is riddled with photographs – black and white, sepia-toned, daguerreotype old-school kind of pictures, taken in parchment, with a #BlairWitch vibe to the narrative. It makes one question whether the strange and the supernatural are true, and makes one question what is truth? What is reality, anyway? My full review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-3j
