One hard-nosed military police officer. One overly enthusiastic elf. One poorly timed snowstorm. Is it a recipe for disaster? Or a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for holiday romance? Teddy MacNally loves Christmas and everything that goes along with it. When he plays an elf for his charitys events, he never expects to be paired with a Scrooge masquerading as Santa Claus. His new mission: make the holiday-hating soldier believe he was born to say ho-ho-ho. Sergeant Major Nicholas Nowicki doesnt do Santa, but hes army to his blood. When his CO asks an unusual favor, Nick of course obliges. The elf to his Kris Kringle? Tempting. Too temptingNicks only in town for another month, and Teddys too young, too cheerful and too nice for a one-night stand. The slow, sexy make-out sessions while Teddy and Nick are alone and snowbound, though, feel like anything but a quick hookup. As a stress-free holiday fling turns into Christmas all year round, Teddy cant imagine his life without Nick. And Nicks days on the base may be coming to a close, but he doesnt plan on leaving anything, or anyone, behind. This book is approximately 65,000 words One-click with confidence. This title is part of the Carina Press Romance Promise: all the romance youre looking for with an HEA/HFN. Its a promise!

This was a cute low angst romance that I finished in one day. A gruff military man falls for a younger local but he's planning on moving south for retirement after the holidays. I enjoyed the connection the two had and how they brought out the best in each other.

I decided I should give my wallet a break from the Nook store, so I raided the new romance bookshelf at the library... 📚

Reading Annabeth Albert always feels like coming home, which is appropriate since her latest holiday romance features a social worker in love with his hometown and a military cop who's always been afraid to settle anywhere. Y'all know their relationship helps them both redefine their ideas of home, even as they revel in the magic of the holiday season (my fave!) and explore their intense chemistry. I enjoyed it very much.

I loooooove holiday romances where one person's all, "Bah, humbug!" and another person helps them unlock the magic of the holiday season and they fall in loooooooooove. Looks like this'll be one of those. ?

I decided to read Annabeth Albert's forthcoming holiday romance before I carry on with TOWER OF DAWN. Since I've got an ARC without the cover art attached, please enjoy this grainy picture of the Christmas lights I put up today to combat the depressing weather.
