For the year 1987 I selected to re-read one of my favorite authors. I still love Victoria and Jasons story after all these years. Truly, a great author and storyteller. #romantsy #19822022 @Librarybelle

CoverToCoverGirl I too love this one. Still have my 1987 original. I‘ve read it many times. All of McNaught‘s books are in my library and well loved. 2y
KristiAhlers @CoverToCoverGirl I have all of my originals from back in the day but they are in storage as we are moving. I love going back and revisiting with these characters! I was so sad when she retired. 2y
Librarybelle So awesome!! 2y
CoverToCoverGirl @KristiAhlers I wish she would give us just one more. 2y

I was once an innocent, kind reader headed into this book. I enjoyed the first 100 pages or so, unknowing what was to come. I started to get frustrated. Surely, the MMC wasn't actually going to act this way. Then I became absolutely angry cause yes, yes he was.

In short, I hate this book. But, on a positive note, I have read my #bookspin book for the month. Lol

Scochrane26 I‘ve noticed after rereading romances like this one in the last few years (from when I was a ya in ‘90s) that the more modern ones have more feminism & consent. Older ones are much more questionable. I like Sherry Thomas & other popular present-day authors. (edited) 2y
TheAromaofBooks 😬 I just read a couple of the reviews for this one. I can make some allowance for older romances where the dude is a little pushy, but this sounds way over-the-top, like how could anyone think this was romantic?? 2y
BookKenz @Scochrane26 I will have to look into Sherry Thomas. Thanks! 2y
BookKenz @TheAromaofBooks Right? It blows my mind that Goodreads had such a high rating for it. 2y

We got our first snow day of the year! Spending the day reading and lounging around. Currently reading my #bookspin book and using my beautiful Gone With the Wind bookmark made from an old VHS tape.

Saknicole Seriously, great bookmark! 2y
BookKenz @Saknicole Thank you! I have a few different VHS tape bookmarks and I think they all look so cool! 2y

That mushy warmth feeling when I‘ve finished reading this lovely book! JM sure is a wonderful author, simple and easy prose made it all great!
