I‘ve been slowly listening to this series for years. Diving back in to catch up. These are great historical mysteries on audio - Heather Wilds does a fantastic job!

I finally jumped back into this series! I think it‘s been 2 years since I read the last one. This one has Keira and Gage back in London. There is a burking, so of course everyone is suspicious and snubbing Keira. They have 2 crimes they‘re trying to solve in this one. I‘m really enjoying this series and glad I picked it back up. I think this might be the 7th in the series.

Have you noticed how all one‘s library reserves come in within days of each other? My long weekend will be spent reading as many as possible.
First completed is the most recent Lady Darby mystery. This time the focus is more on the way Lady Darby and her husband deal are handling her past when the scandal threatens to return. The mystery is takes a back seat these threats.
One element of the story is the “Italian Boy” and the resurrectionists.
Finished this book...finally. It's been difficult for me to read the past month. I've been reading mostly cozy mysteries, as that's all I can get into, but I've had this library book for a while and I've renewed it as many times as allowed and it's due today. I really did enjoy it, as I have enjoyed all the Lady Darby mysteries. I want book eight already.

As mentioned in my last post, life has been busy so I‘m also way behind (so behind!) on reviews. I listened to all of these on audio over the last several months and they were all picks!

Book 7, in this installment Kiera's past comes back to haunt her. London is besieged by burkings along the entire social structure. Due to her unfortunate first husband's dealings with body snatchers and butchery for his anatomy book, Kiera's once again in society's crosshairs being accused of taking part in the murders. She and her current husband Gage, a private enquiry agent, work to not only solve the crime but clear her name for once and all.

Absolutely a winner! I love this series, and this is the best yet. The amount of historical detail makes this a cut above other historical mysteries. And a good, involved mystery it is. The only problem is waiting for the next book 😄

There was much to love while reading this story! I definitely really felt for Kiera‘s character as her past came back to haunt her. There was also quite the mystery behind the death‘s that were whipping all of London into an uproar! It was the type of tale with twists and turns that will fully engage your imagination as the clues lead from one possibility to another. So excited for this to finally come out tomorrow!!!!! @ErinSueGreads

Number 7 in the Lady Darby series and another winner from Huber! Rich in historical details, this one involves the deaths of 3 noble heirs as well as mixing in the resurrectionist trade and Keira‘s frightening history with it. ♥️ the development of Keira‘s and Sebastian‘s love story as well. 4.5/5⭐️ I will never tire of reading anything by Huber...period. 😊👏👏
Thanks to #NetGalley and #Berkley for the ARC. Out 4/2.

Next up, I feel fortunate to have scored an ARC for number 7 in Huber‘s Lady Darby series, one of my favorite historical mystery series. Looking forward to seeing what some of my most loved characters are up to in this installment...and that cover??!! Let‘s just say GORGEOUS! 😍😍😍
