Honestly the ending of this book saved it for me. Before finishing I was planning on rating it like a 2 or 2 1/2, now it's a low 4. But after that ending, I was actually shocked and quite pleasantly shocked at that. I wasn't planning on continuing the series, I really had to force myself to keep reading this but I will have to rethink that choice now. Hopefully the next book continues on with how much better the ending of this book was.
