Fascinating story! A married journalist is unable to remember a car accident that landed her in the hospital, losing her unborn child, and being pregnant. Naturally, she wants to recall those lost memories. An interview with a famous adventurer helps her put together the memories she has lost. BUT, others are keeping secrets from her too.
Happy hour at #starbucks means happy juice for my reading time, and more for breakfast tomorrow. 🥰 Healthy? Nope. #noregrets 😜 I just finished the tagged book, and it was OK, but honestly I expected more from a Kerry Lonsdale book. I could see any twists coming from a mile away. Meh.
Couldn‘t put it down. I wasn‘t expecting the ending at all. It kept my curiosity the whole time! Great read!
I actually reviewed this after finishing it for the #24in48 #readathon but didn‘t post Friday‘s blog book tour review pairing. This wasn‘t my favorite of Kerry Lonsdale‘s books but it kept me turning the pages—lots of twists & turns, lies & betrayals & a very interesting premise about a journalist who loses a part of her memories in an accident. I paired it with a summer-perfect Snap Pea, Watermelon, Tomato & Feta Salad. Review/recipe link👇🏻
I won this book in a #goodreadsgiveaway. It was truly just so-so to me. I kept reading to see where it was going but it never really took me to that next level.

Finished book #2 for the readathon & about 7 1/2 hours of reading total. It's a pick although I won't officially review it until next Friday on the blog for a book tour review. And I have to digest it a bit too. 🤔Lots of twists & a bit of suspending disbelief....
Headed to the store & library to pick up a hold, then back to reading.

I got a little morning reading in. Headed out for breakfast, more reading & to run errands. I am at about 60% of this second book of the readathon.

My current book & snack from earlier. It's 12:30 AM & I need to get some sleep. I didn't hit my goal of 6 hours tonight but 5 hours isn't bad. I got to 36% on this one & will finish it up tomorrow--it's pretty intriguing so far. Goodnight! 😴

My sanity keeper during weeks I am leading orientation is Wednesday or Friday mornings with fried rice with an over-easy egg on top, a couple of chapters of a current read, coffee or tea & some 80s pop on Pandora. I can usually can get about 40 minutes in before the next person shows up & I must extrovert (and get to work.) 😉This one is for a book tour review next week.
My finished soup--lunch & blog post for #soupersundays is Red Curry Coconut Shrimp Soup with Jasmine Rice & Veggies. Great, cooling coconut milk, lime & lemongrass with red pepper, baby corn, mushrooms, carrot & snap peas. Really ono! 😋 Recipe link 👇🏻 Starting my #ARC of a new standalone mystery/thriller from Kerry Lonsdale for an upcoming book tour review. I always enjoy her books in my summer reading stacks. ☀️📚
