#OnThisDay in 1809, literary and political periodical Quarterly Review was first published in London by John Murray publishing house. It began as a Tory voice to rival the Edinburgh Review, and was known for its scathing critiques of authors whose politics did not align with those of its Editors. Percy Bysshe Shelley even blamed a blistering review of John Keats' Endymion for hastening the poet's death: "snuffed out by an article." #HistoryGetsLIT
At the beginning of the year I had two main resolutions: read more of my own books and buy less books
Half of the books I've read comes from my tbr and I'm quite happy about that. I only hope that I manage to continue this
I've bought 2 fewer books than at the same time last year. I'm hoping that this is just the beginning and that the next quarters will be easier.
