Ugh this book was dumb! How many times are they going to refer to the fact that they're cops? Some sections are written from the DOG's point of view, as if you were the dog!!! WTF? Oh and how did they find the bad guy??? Harry just HAPPENED to remember a chance run in with him that no normal person would ever have remembered. This was ridiculous to read and the plot was stupid and unbelievable even for fiction. I would not recommend this book.

I am sorry to say, but I am slowly becoming disenchanted with Dean Koontz books. Therefore I've decided to make a challenge for myself: I'm gonna read these books simultaneously and see which one I'll see through to the end. It may be both or only 1 or even neither... who knows? That's the fun! 😉

SandyW Your challenge would be far to confusing to me. I am happiest reading only one book at a time. I cannot even conceive of reading two books by the same author in the same genre at the same time. 6y

Reggie I‘ve read a couple of his and I just have up. Loved Twilight Eyes and some of the Strange Highways short stories but rest were meh. 6y

My friend gave me Koontz's Shadowfires in the 80s. I hated it. I thought it was rambling nonsense. Years later I got Dragon Tears and became a Koontz fangirl! I even reread Shadowfires and liked it. #fiestyfeb #changedmymindabout #secondchances

MaleficentBookDragon @howlinglibraries I loved those two. Strangers, Sole Survivor, Intensity, and Odd Thomas are my all time favorites. Some of the old ones like Darkfall and Twilight Eyes are amazing. I even ❤️ The Taking which a lot of fans hated. 7y

howlinglibraries I haven't read The Taking yet but I believe I have it! When I first started reading his books, I went on a collecting spree (much like with Stephen King) and somehow amassed 2/3 of his collection at the time within about a year haha. I need to scan them all into GR so I can keep up with which ones I have when I'm thrifting. 7y
