What I know: a boy in my class will one day wipe out two-thirds of the population with a virus. What I don’t know: who he is. In a race against the clock, I not only have to figure out his identity, but I'll have to outwit a voice from the future telling me to kill him. Because I'm starting to realize no one is telling the truth. But how can I play chess with someone who already knows the outcome of my every move? Someone so filled with malice they've lost all hope in humanity? Well, I'll just have to find a way—because now they've drawn a target on the only boy I've ever loved...

I struggle with this one. I like time travel books and when done well, they make the story. The main characters are interesting and I especially was drawn to Bandit. However, the story just had to many flaws to forgive, and that sometimes is the problem when a time travel story doesn‘t work. Too many bad assumptions are made making it inevitably a story that just didn‘t work for me.

So I have been seeing this one on my book groups I‘m in on Facebook. Think it would be fun to start on here. Rules are simple if you're tagged post a pic of a book you own with the color. Pick the next color and tag some people. #ispy

LibrarianRyan Ohh fun. I have that book. So I have to post a purple book right? 5y
HoneyBeeLee @LibrarianRyan yes post a picture of a purple book you got and pick the next color. 💜 5y

Sace Ohhhh.....colors. Well, I've never been much of a rule follower 🙄 5y
HoneyBeeLee @Sace lol no worries actually doing other things besides colors would work too. I was just keeping it simple but that would be a fun challenge. 💜 thank you so much for playing along! 5y
Sace @HoneyBeeLee thank *you* for getting it started! 5y

I always pictured Entangled Teen as a 'safe' publisher, well written, strong plots etc. However, this book about a girl who has to work out who close to her will unleash a virus in the future, was poorly written and often read like a debut novel. Some scenes were too ridiculous to not laugh at and I left feeling like the editor just couldn't be bothered straightening this mess out.

Alice has started hearing a voice...herself...time-traveling from 10 years in the future. A deadly virus will kill 2/3 of the people on Earth unless Alice prevents it by killing a classmate. Occasionally darkly humourous, there is an underlying layer that is much more hard-hitting--revealing several areas of social commentary. Good concept & great execution. Fast pasted narrative with snappy, smart, & thoughtful writing. A very fun read.

If you are worried about the Coronavirus you might not want to pick up this book. Pintip's last book was Star-Crossed which I never managed to get my hands on, but wanted to (and will someday). Apparently that was supposed to have a sequel, but instead we got a new idea.

She has a decent hand at Sci-fi so give it a check out.
