Two very anticipated sequels!

A fantasy love story about a boy and a monstrous tree siren, this was a seriously good standalone, that was just a little weak in the middle. 4/5

A little slow but I loved this romance so freaking much, and I was sad to leave. I love the scavenger hunt and enemies to lovers tropes!

This murder-mystery was okay, but I felt like Jay did little to help his sister until the girl he was interested in started looking for her too.

Loved this race across the desert, the romance was so good and there was no cheesy villain reveal. I can't wait to continue the series!

Loves this thriller, it kept the tension high and kept me guessing too! The ending did let me down a little.

It was racist, classist and a little pedophilic, on top of being written by an anti-semitic author, so yeah. Guess it was okay, I liked the ending.

This was a ghostly hot mess express that was far, far, far too long at 425 pages and could never quite work out it's target age.

This was such a fascinating book! The Fairy Tales felt new simply by swapping the genders, however the choice to use the Fairy Books meant that tgere was an unnecessary Christian influence.

I liked the attempt to show the attitudes people had to unmarried mothers in this book, but the 'should I tell him I shouldn't tell him' trope quickly became monotonous.

I rated this one 3/5 but maybe I should have rated it a 2. The cookie cutter romance overshadowed the story, which lacked diversity.

Loved this one, took me a little while to get to grips with the world but I'm so glad I stuck with it.

November Wrap Up: eBooks! A lot of disappointing reads in this pile, especially The Key To Fear and Aveline Jones. I loved A Very Large Expanse Of Sea and The Midnight Swan though.

This was really, really good, with Lord Of The Rings / Jeckyll & Hyde vibes but after finishing the story I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. Hopefully there will be a sequel.

The cover is incredible but seventy percent of the story was the set up and then nothing much happened.

I really wanted this to be a fun, magical advebtire story but instead I got a Natural History lesson, deforestation and global warming. Disappointed.

Non Pratt? More like non ending. I really wanted to like this 13 Reasons Why style story, but it felt like it ended with 3 chapters missing.

This was so slow going, but immersive. I loved eveery moment of Lady Helen's world and can't wait for the sequels!

Looks like Litsy ate my review. This book was good, but I wasn't invested in the romance and Saoirse's abusive, neglectful father really overshadowed the story.

Good, but lacking in many places. I found myself really wanting to like this one, the concept of a group of friends finding themselves in the world of a book they're a fan of is facinating, but I felt it needed a multi-pov to make an impact.

A surreal and thought provoking book, The Lost Soul Atlas explores loss and friendship as Twiggy explores his memories while on a quest to save them ashe slowly starts to forget.

I was initially worried that I wouldn't like this book, it's the first I've read with aro-ace rep. I had nothing to worry about though, it was perfect and I found myself relating to so much.

This was such a hard book to pick a rating for - eventually I gave it 4/5. Its one story, but feels like 3. It's a historical fantasy, a mystery, a coming of age, a love story, and the writing completely captivated me.

This was so cute, a complete fluff book filled with family drama, cake making disasters, dive team dares and a couple I really rooted for. I think this just did the opposite of a reading slump!

And Then There Were None for teens, the characters were poorly developed and a lot of the deaths were off-page. I didn't like the giril with mental health problems being seen as a huge burden on everyone.

This was an interesting book. Told from the perspective of a character with no name, this story of summer infatuation had an old, Atonement, 1930s picnic at the beach vibe that's hard to fully pin down.

This book is a fast paced, action packed romp through the streets of Paris. A retelling of Les Miserables and The Jungle Book, I loved every second. And this edition is gorgeous!

The best of May! Ready Player One was easily the highlight of May, closely followed by Aurora Burning.

I wasn't a fan of the ending, but I can't resist a road trip book and I loved both Agnes and Bo.

I quite liked this book about a camp for LGBT teens. It was like the opposite of Cameron Post. This book is truly written for LGBT teens, with no explaining of our slang for the cis/het/straight folk.

England just does dystopia better, and this story of a London boy trapped in a tower block while all the buildings around him are getting eaten by strange blue plants is no exception.

Gods this book was so, so good. When people ask me what my favourite book is, I finally have an answer. This combines my love of treasure hunts, video games and 80s nostalgia into a masterpiece of a book.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed by this long, boring book. It offered no new insight on the world of the Hunger Games and it just wasn't very exciting to read.

Of course this is my current read! It's really, really slow though, a lot of connecting this book with the main series that isn't always needed.

Not as good as the first but still very good, not having Valek for most of this book just made me appreciate him more when he did appear.

Books should be released because the publishing team fell in love with them. They should not be released because they tick the boxes of 'gay', 'own voices', 'author of colour'.
