The newest Adam Rubin (author of Dragons Love Tacos). Fun, tongue-twisty rhyming story, but Salmieri‘s illustrations are definitely the star.

slategreyskies The book looks awesome! When my son was a toddler, he had a pair of pajamas with a construction truck print on it similar to the shirt in this photo. I‘d forgotten about those pajamas, so seeing this photo brought back a really cool memory. :) 5y
Tracyantoon My kids LOVE Dragons Love Tacos (and the sequel). I will totally have to check this one out! Stacked! 5y

Today (8/7) is the LAST DAY day to sign-up for the mini-swap (#HFTSS) hosted by @JoScho! The max spending limit is $25, so I feel like I can participate *and* still get Starbucks. Real talk, though: I probably shouldn't get Starbucks anymore. How many chocolate croissants per week is too many? Asking for a friend... ;)

erinreads Thanks for the reminder! Although I did just make it 21, so I ruined the even number. 😬 5y
monalyisha @erinreads I bet if/when you share it, you‘ll inspire another person to join & then we‘ll be right back at it. 😉 5y
JoScho Thanks for sharing sweet lady! Matches have been sent 😀 5y

kstadt929 Oh man!! I wish I had seen this swap yesterday!!! Also, I am pretty sure you can‘t have too many chocolate croissants from Starbucks ever. They are absolutely delicious! 5y

Pickpick

High Five is a MF picture book that is written by Adam Rubin and illustrated by Daniel Salieri. This book is a riveting championship of high fives. You come face to face to high five multiple animals that are bigger than you! Some may even have more hands than you! This book would be best as a SR or RA in my classroom.

UDL: 3.1
ESOL: 13. Use preview/review activities

By showing the book trailer before reading it allows students to begin making predictions about the text before you start reading. It also gives them a nice visual with the other children giving each other high fives.

DrSpalding Shared reading or read aloud seems appropriate. I like the idea of using book trailers! This can get students excited about reading certain books. You need to perform book talks as well but this is a universal design principle to meet the needs of all students in your classrooms! High five! 5y
