There are many ways to enjoy books - and even work with them. As a translator I've been fortunate enough to work on Chloe Neill's CHICAGOLAND VAMPIRES. 😊

This #lighthouse along Lake Michigan in Chicago has a small but important role in this #urbanfantasy series. If I told you any more, the vampires would kill us both! #marchintoreading
The beginning of the book felt different than the rest of the series and it was a little slow the first few chapters. When it got going though YES! It was great. The ending made it even better. So sad that things are wrapping up getting ready for the last book. 😞
Sleepy time cuddles and a good book. All three are napping at the same time. Can you say pure heaven?!?!
Kills me to so-so this one!! I love Ethan & Merit but something in this one was just ...off. The banter was good, the couple was good but it was missing that punch that made me grab on and beg for more at the end. Still love the series and will pick up the next. My expectations may be lowered in the future so I'm not so disappointed.
"She looks fierce," Ethan said, "because she is."
Insecurity was not a trait Ethan was familiar with." Oh I ❤Ethan & Merit.
⭐⭐⭐
Everything was so rushed but this one had real potential but I think the author may just being in too much of a hurry to finish Merit's story. So many characters have been introduced in this series with very little exploration of those characters. Series finale will be out in April so it looks like this series will never reach the potential it had. In my opinion all the focus on the romance killed it.
I'm giving this three pumpkins for #HalloweenHorror and #scaretober. It's fun and full of supernatural creatures. But scary? Horror? Not so much. I do like this series quite a lot for its strong female MC, but this 12th installment fell a bit flat for me. 😂👻

We've had mansplaining and manterrupting. Now we have alphapology, courtesy of author Chloe Neill! 🤔
Nothing like a library ... right? 😎
Spending a little quality time with some characters. Simple dinner of broccoli, rice, and pork chops. Paired with water and Earl Grey. #dinnerandabook #saturdaynightwithbooks
My first pick for #HelloOctober and #HalloweenHorror. It's the 12th in the series about Merit and Ethan, the Chicago vampire world's equivalent of Brangelina (while they were together). Part snarky, part action, and smart too. I'm ready!
I was bored with this book and quite frankly, the time span was the main 'off-put'... The whole series has been 12 months long! The trials, tribulations, Mallory etc all 12 months? I can't comprehend this!
