I love it down here, in the basement of my local library. They have a permanent space they use for their book sales and I have the privilege of volunteering to help sort and organize donations. Easily one of my favorite places to be. I know you book nerds get it 📚🤓

Mrs_B That looks so much fun! 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I've gone to some where I've started correcting the sorting and I'll try to help the elderly volunteers move heavy boxes. 4y

I‘m really disappointed. I wasn‘t expecting it to become a new fav or anything, but it was awful! Chopra‘s need to control how we experience the story and what we get out of it is very off putting. Imagine eating out at a restaurant and the chef hovering over your plate telling you what to eat when, in what order, how to chew it, etc. Would not recommend ever.

My Wednesday entry for @SumisBooks #BookMemeWars contest! Wednesday is cartoons. I had to whittle down a lot of choices for today‘s pick!
This one fits in with what I‘m currently reading though, so it wins. 😅

Just about halfway through this book (Goodreads says 46%) and I‘m feeling like the howler monkey too. I think there‘s a decent story here, but it‘s shrouded in mumbo jumbo exposition and the timeline isn‘t quite linear. I think the latter may be planned to show how time is a construct that does not truly apply to magic and wizards, but it can make the story a bit jarring. I‘ve re-read bits for a better understanding, not always successfully...
