Couldn‘t resist this month‘s 99p on kindle Quinn.
An absorbing romance, Grace is just lovely. The dowager sounds awful. π

This definitely lives up to all the hype. A feminist novel through and through. It is witty, honest and thought provoking. An excellent debut novel, I‘m already looking forward to seeing what Garmus will do next.
This is a 99p deal on kindle this month so couldn‘t resist. I absorbed it and read it in two days. Should I have stopped reading and gone to bed earlier? Definitely. Did I stay up so I could read more? Of course. π
Although I enjoyed this, and it seems as though Bennett is really finding her stride with this series, I do think that I found this a lot less believable than the other two. I know they‘re fiction, but part of the charm was how realistic they felt, and this one just seemed a bit too out there. That said, it‘s clear that she has done her homework and knows so much about the queen‘s life and habits.
A satisfying end to this fun trilogy. I‘ve loved stepping back into the world of shadowhunters and escaping from the world for a while.
Had to do the New York Cafe for our last day in Budapest. I think there‘s an interesting Literary history here but we‘re just here to be tourists and take lots of selfies. π
Today I am reading in Budapest, this city is amazing. (And the book is very enjoyable so far!)
And now I have to wait until the 20th March for my hold to come in at the library for the final book! Arghhhh
I adore the cameos from Magnus Bane, and how much Matthew loves Magnus Bane!
I am very curious as to how Clare is going to tie up all the loose ends. π€π€π€
I refused to start this trilogy until I knew the last one was nearly out!
I actually picked up a gorgeous hardback version of this book at a charity shop for Q9.
I always love a shadowhunters story, it‘s a comfort read for me. Cordelia and Lucie are just fabulous.
Thank you #permberlittens for the read-a-long. It was a clever idea, but I found the overall pace very slow. An intriguing ending that I think was the right one, some of the choices made by the characters did have me sighing in frustration.
Also, I keep comparing Rachel to Irene from The Invisible Library series. Unfavourably.
A satisfying end to the trilogy, but with plenty left unresolved for further books. A good paranormal romance trilogy with a few steamy scenes!
The second in the trilogy. Continuing the story of Dove, Griffin and Killian. We start to get some more answers but new questions arise. I‘m straight onto part 3!
Exciting paranormal romance about wolf shifters and fated mates. The first in a trilogy. Good fun and easy to get sucked into the drama.
Made it to 30% before bailing. Just too much unnecessary swearing, and I‘m not a particular fan of the author‘s style of writing.
I read this in less than 24 hours. Definitely one to read if you enjoyed βThe Love Hypothesisβ. Adored it, such a cute and happy love story!
This is quite slow and quite confusing until you get into the rhythm of what is actually going on! It‘s an inventive twist on the classic murder mystery.
Much better than book 2, the new character problem I was whinging about settled down for the last 3/4 of the book. Satisfied by the ending, and felt that most things came together. Although there are certainly many loose ends still to be tidied, it‘s enough. And
This was my view while reading today⦠on MIAMI SOUTH BEACH!!!
This is long and complicated. There are hundreds of characters, many of whom are very briefly in the story. So much of the travel seems unnecessary. There wasn‘t enough about the magic and way too much about the politics of the time. It just didn‘t work for me. Will I still read the final one? Yes. Will I ever re-read this? No.
It‘s taken me quite a while to get through this as an audiobook, but it was fascinating. I actually found the appendices really interesting. I enjoyed learning some of the history of neuroplasticity and how it was almost shunned for so long. [warning there is a rather graphic chapter on sexual sadism, but done in a very scientific way]
Loved reading this book, couldn‘t put it down.
We went to Oxford today and had to of course take in some of the sights where the book is set!
Top Left: The Radcliffe Camera
Top Right: The Bodleian Quad
Bottom Left: All Souls College
My husband and I have been terribly remiss about getting our alumni reading cards for the Bodleian, we need to do that so next time we can go and read in Duke Humfrey‘s!
ββ¦ when people ask you how you‘re doing, you should always respond with βGreat!β Because it makes your friends happy and your enemies angry.β

I‘ve had my eye on this for a while and so couldn‘t resist when it was only 99p on kindle.
This is a sweet tale of grief and family, mixed with a good dose (doth according to Grant) of humour. Rowley creates unique characters that you can‘t help adoring.
It does gloss over some of the harder aspects of grief, but as a sweet story I liked it.
I have abandoned everything I was supposed to do today in order to finish this book. It was totally worth it.
Becky Chambers is fast becoming a must read author for me. I very much enjoyed this tale of purpose, belonging and family.
Such a cute free βbook exchangeβ I found today!
I‘m not sure you can get a more British picture. π
I absolutely loved this book and couldn‘t put it down. I have ordered the sequel and can‘t wait for it to arrive and get back into this universe. It‘s not quite conventional space faring sci-fi, with much less emphasis on the physics and a lot more about how different cultures develop and what happens when they try to live harmoniously together. Very very well written.
βNest says she will pull on three, and Marie braces herself and closes her eyes and Nest says one, then on two there is a sharp pain, and Marie opens her eyes again to see Nest holding the string with a bloody black and white stump at the end of it. Marie says that she thinks thou shalt not lie is a commandment, not a suggestion.β
Worth waiting for. It was good fun to be back with the gang at Cooper‘s chase. I think Joyce is particularly on form in this one. Excellent mystery and it seems like we have a few new members of the gang!
I do wish I had re-read the second before reading this as there were a few references that I was a bit fuzzy remembering.
When you manage to get enough chores done early enough on a Sunday morning that you can justify chilling with matcha tea and this gorgeous book!
Aaannnddd that‘s the third one finished. I‘m sad I‘m leaving bluebell castle. But these stories are just so cute. I could imagine them being made into an adorable Netflix series.
Thank you so much!!! I love it!
I‘m so excited about this book and the chocolate is going to last about 5 minutes tonight. It looks soooo good!
Thank you!!!

This cosy romance series is just hitting the spot at the minute. Izzy and Will are a great couple and I love their connection.
I got a bit tired of Arthur and Ben doing a lot of will we won‘t we in their various relationships and endeavours. I skim read the last third, but the epilogue was very cute.
It‘s arrived today!!! I am sooooo excited! Thank you mystery person that‘s sent it! π₯°π₯°π₯°

Very very cute YA romance. I like how they both learned how to have honest conversations and develop a healthy relationship. I‘m looking forward to reading the sequel. Thank you for the loan!
This has potential but it needs a seriously good edit, including chopping many of the unnecessary characters. It‘s trying to fit into the Richard Osman type but misses the mark with very little character development beyond the rector. Spoiler in commentsβ¦
A very cute, if predictable, cosy romance listen. Perfect for an audio clean! It‘s good when I‘m looking for more chores to do so I can carry on listening. π
The murder finally happens on page 100. I am massively losing track of the fifty or so characters who have been introduced so far. The premise is so good, captures English country village life (and politics!) in the 80s well. But, really, 100 pages to get to the murder? I was getting ready to give up.
@Avanders My #FallingForFallSwap #FFFS has just been collected by the postie and is on its way! (I didn‘t take a photo so as not to ruin the surpriseβ¦)
I went into town for cleaning products. Not two books and two plants. π
This is a very clever book. Ishiguro, through Klara, gives glimpses into this future world. Klara is an incredible observer but varies between perceptive and naive in her world view. He offers tiny insights into this futuristic society and leaves much to the reader to put together. Clever.
If you like Daisy Jones & the six then this is very similar. It‘s clever and fast paced.
I‘m torn between a pick and a so-so. I think the Irish humour aspect make it a pick. But although I read this quickly I found the story a bit lacking. There were A LOT of characters and although I was rooting for Rachel the book just wasn‘t as enjoyable as I was expecting.
Yes for lots of Lady Danbury! A lovely tale of Hyacinth learning about herself as she learns to love.
Only one Bridgerton story left now thoughβ¦ π’
