Any pet parent knows that in the direst of pet emergencies, a sympathetic, reliable vet is your best friend, but have you ever wondered what goes on on the other side of the fence (or examination table)? This book attempts to answer that question. There's plenty of vet memoirs out there, but Trout's is especially fun because of his dry British humor and clear sincerity and love of his job and the animals he cares for.

I highly recommend this book if you want a glimpse into your veterinarian's life! Trout is a specialist, but the craziness, busyness, and caring are universal. Highly recommend 👍🏻👍🏻👩🏻‍⚕️
