It takes a minx to tempt a rogue...Beautiful and feisty Henrietta Barrett has never followed the dictates of society. She manages her elderly guardian?s estate, prefers to wear breeches rather than dresses, and answers to the unlikely name of Henry. But when her guardian passes away, her beloved home falls into the hands of a distant cousin. And it takes a rogue to tame her...William Dunford, London?s most elusive bachelor, is stunned to learn that he?s inherited property, a title...and a ward bent on making his first visit his last. Henry is determined to continue running the Cornwall estate without help from the handsome new lord, but Dunford is just as sure he can change things...starting with his wild young ward. But turning Henry into a lady makes her not only the darling of the town, but an irresistible attraction to the man who thought he could never be tempted.

I also gave this one a try and liked it a bit better. No rushed ending here. Although I disagree that JQ is a contemporary Jane Austen. This is a typical, predictable, light-hearted romance. I enjoyed it as it was simple entertainment. I liked Henry (Henrietta), who isn‘t the typical Regency-era heroine. I hope season 2 of the Bridgerton brings out some of these other characters.

EclecticBookLover This is one of my favorites by Julia Quinn. I love Henry and Dunford! 3y
wanderinglynn @EclecticBookLover yes! I‘m reading these out of order & just finished Belle & John‘s story, but it‘s not nearly as fun as Hen & Dunford. 3y

Since there is a category in the #Litsyawards for Litsy author, I thought some of you might want to see an updated list of known authors on Litsy.

As always I will add more as I know of them. I will also tag them all to make them easier to find.

LibrarianRyan I tagged them in list order but Litsy moved them around. 6y
Kristyngansen I really am the author! 🙂 I just signed up for Litsy a few days ago and I‘m still learning my way around. Thanks for including me on the list! Do you know how I go about getting verified? 6y
