I wouldn‘t say that enjoyed the entire book. Yet, at some point, the story changes and becomes much more interesting. Overall, I‘d say Roth‘s female characters are paper thin, but he can definitely write parents with expectations 🙂

This was fantastic I loved this book!! The way it discusses identity is just amazing and the storyline about Anne Frank was stunning. It's obvious Roth is talking about himself and that definitely makes it more appealing I love stories that feel personal. I can't recommend this enough. Please read it!!!!

What a great paragraph

I turn sentences around. That's my life. I write a sentence and then I turn it around. Then I look at it and turn it around again...

It's a slow moving and a pretty dull book. I just could not get into it! I almost wanted to bail at about 80 pages into it, but I finished it and wished I spent my time on a more interesting book. I don't think I'll attempt another Roth book!

I'm halfway through and so far it's a little slow and the writing is a little too florid for my taste. Keeping at it though, hoping it picks up soon!
