I sobbed my way through the last 20%. Annabeth Albert is tops at crafting chemistry-laden romances between characters with realistic hangups that impact their relationships in tense but workable ways. These guys genuinely admire one another, and it's always obvious that what they share is worth fighting for. There's a strong focus on consent and boundaries, too; an Albert hallmark. I plan to charge straight into her next #gaymers novel.

Just loungin' around, reading an awesome contemporary romance and being glad it's actually on Litsy so I can tell y'all how much I'm enjoying it. Three of my last four reads aren't in the Litsy database, and I wanted to share quotes from and reactions to all of them. Especially COIN TRICKS by Willow Scarlett, which delighted me to my very core.

theshrinkette They have a form on the website somewhere where you can send them book titles to be added to the database. 8y
xicanti @theshrinkette I'll have to investigate that. All the missing books I've found are by WOC and/or queer people. Not a good look for Litsy, even considering the books' self published status probably plays a role. 8y
theshrinkette @xicanti Ooh that's not good. I've had good luck so far with WOC and queer people books but it's all been mostly frontlist. Hmm. 8y
xicanti @theshrinkette I initially assumed Litsy pulled from the Amazon and Library of Congress databases, like LibraryThing does, but if that were the case I'd be able to find the books on here easy-peasy. As it stands, nothing comes up with either titles or author's names, so I dunno where the info comes from. 8y
