My introduction to Pete the Cat - fairly sure he‘ll be on the shopping list for niece in a few years time. A really fun, bright, cheerful #EasyReader #PublishedInTheLast5Years

Pete goes scuba diving, and is excited to see his first seahorse - but doesn‘t notice who keeps tickling him on his dive. Just great! #BBRC @LibrarianRyan @LibrarianRyan @BookwormAHN

Slajaunie Pete the Cat actually started out as paintings. I happened to stumble across the art gallery a number of years ago in New Orleans. The proprietor of the gallery informed me that Pete was going to be made into children‘s books. The paintings are notable or famous places with Pete there. Loved the artwork. 5y

rockpools @Slajaunie That‘s fab! They‘d be really striking ‘live‘. So of course I headed off to the author‘s website to see more, and promptly fell into a merch rabbit-hole... Will now go and convince myself that the calendar and Christmas decs and ‘I still read children‘s books‘ T-shirts are not worrh international shipping... 5y
Slajaunie 😂😂😂 He‘s really fun. I love him. 5y

#bbrc #er Published in the last 5 years.

Maya's favorite early readers were Fancy Nancy, Biscuit, and Pete the Cat. I picked the latter for this prompt, because I've always cracked up at Pete the Cat. Here you have Pete embarking on a quest to see a seahorse, yet not noticing the one right beside him until the very end. It would be a great accompaniment to an ocean unit, lots of sea life make an appearance. Super cute!

TsahaiMakeda I used to think myself weird for pining for this form in school. Now I know it was just the literary monster in me screaming to be let loose! #writersread 8y
Suzze All the years I was a kids bookseller I would tell parents to buy from these. Such amazing deals. 8y
marixa The BEST day of the school month would be when your scholastic order would come in, and the teacher would hand out your books, with your original order form as the bookmark. I always bought as many as my mom would allow. 8y
