I‘ve posted this book before but it‘s been ages & since today‘s prompt is #fear & we‘re the thick of summer, I had to go with it. One of my favorite all-time books (& authors) of my childhood. I loved my copy (the one in the center) but gave it away & had to rebuy a more updated cover. Also, I bought the DVD of the cheesy (but good) Wes Craven-directed TV movie—aka Stranger in Our House—with Linda Blair several years ago. 🤗😱
Book 60🎧
OH SNAP👏🏻 The 👑 of YA thriller has done it yet again!
I will admit that I “called” this one pretty early but that did NOT change how good it was🙌🏻
@MaleficentBookDragon - 100% my favourite yet🖤 Now for that trailer!
This edition was updated with modernized text, and I have to admit it made a huge difference. I had read the original Don‘t Look Behind you and it felt dated, whereas this did not. YA page turner about a teenager who has her estranged cousin move in with her family after a tragedy. I knew the answers long before the protagonist, but it was still a fun ride. Well done, Ms. Duncan.
We interrupt your #FreakyFriday posting to bring you simply the best cover design I have ever, ever seen.

#sweetsummerstack This book makes me think of summer-especially summer weekends in the 80s, baking in the sun with my friends & stealing lemons from the kitchen to put streaks in our hair. Summer of Fear had a TV movie that was often in the VCR on summer nights. Directed by Wes Craven, & starring Linda Blair, it was cheesy & bad in the best way. I pulled out the movie & book for a summer repeat 🌞👍Thanks @Liberty for another great giveaway.💛
#JuneTunz #BooksFromBoxes Full disclosure, this is a repost pic but I let time & the lighting slip away working on a blog post so I'm using it. 😬This is my Lois Duncan box-she was my favorite author as a preteen & led me to my enjoyment of twisty thrillers.😱Several years ago I bought used copies of her books, reread my favorites, put them in this box & stored them on my closet shelf. When she passed away last year I reread them all yet again.❤️

I used to have red hair.
Loved this book when I was a kid; the movie too.
Lois Duncan messed my childhood up!
I've shared before that Rosemary's Baby was my first adult book & #firsthorrorbook, 'borrowed' from my parent's bookshelf when I was 9/10, so I thought I'd pair it with Summer of Fear, probably the first YA horror book I checked out freely at about the same age. Probably my favorite Lois Duncan, this is the cover I had. I bought a used copy & a copy of the so-bad-it's-good TV movie w/ Linda Blair a few years ago & it's still fun! 😱#AllHallowsRead
