They found paradise.what would they do to keep it? Lagoon swims and boozy nights turn sinister in [this] atmospheric thriller (People) about a group of friends whose dream journey around the world on a yacht turns into a chilling nightmare when one of them disappears at sea.Lana and her best friend Kitty leave home looking for freedomand thats exactly what they find when they are invited onto The Blue, a fifty-foot yacht making its way from the Philippines to New Zealand. Manned by a young crew of wanderers, The Blue is exactly the escape they are looking for and the two quickly fall under its spell, spending their days exploring remote islands, and their rum-filled nights relaxing on deck beneath the stars. Yet paradise found can just as quickly become lost. Lana and Kitty begin to discover that they arent the only ones with secrets theyd rather run from than reveal. And when one of their new friends disappears overboard after an argument with the other crewmembers, the dark secrets that brought each of them aboard start to unravel. Pickpick

Kitty and Lana, best friends looking for adventure stumble on it on The Blue, a yacht with a crew of like-minded people. The yacht is sailing to NewZealand from The Philippines. At first everything is idyllic but when one of the crew disappears, things start to fall apart. I think the novel was a little drawn out but the story is good and you can lose yourself on the yacht. It‘s just what I needed for my present state of mind

AmandaBlaze That's on my TBR. 2y

Set on a ship in the open sea, surrounded only by #water. Hubbies sister gave it to me and said, I'd like it since I like books that give me the chills. Especially, she said, when you're afraid of deep water (I am).

I would've liked the book if it was more about the chills and the psychological effects and less about the main character whining about her love interest...

Ehh disregard my last post because my digital hold has been automatically checked out to me so I'm diving into The Blue...and one of these adorable yogurts!

rubyslippersreads Those are the prettiest yogurts I've ever seen. 7y
Jinjer @rubyslippersreads They are! And all natural, real sugar, etc. Unfortunately they are too sweet, not much flavor and only 5g protein! I need my Fage to be packed in cute glass jars. 7y

Pickpick

Thought I was in for something very light and distracting. Didn‘t expect much when I picked it up but it was surprisingly good! Yes there was that one or other cliché… but overall this was a compelling read. And the ending was kinda mind-blowing. Just when you think the story‘s over, there comes the epilogue . Wow! Left me open-mouthed and thinking…

Jinjer My jaw is still on the floor over that ending! 😳Very good book I thought. Enjoyed it a lot. 7y
Heidi2 Right @Jinjer ??? Glad you felt the same way about it as I. Couldn't stop thinking about it and seeing that scene before my eyes for a while. 7y
Jinjer @Heidi2 When I was up with mom at 4:30am I laid awake for a good 40 minutes thinking about that!😳😬 7y

So much blue! There are literally blue books on every shelf in my house. I picked a random assortment - I think they're a good example of how eclectic my tastes run. #septphotochallenge #somethingforsept
