This was an excellent suspense/thriller Manga. Featuring a young surgeon who makes a choice that changes his life tragically. I definitely look forward to continuing the series. 5⭐️

July was very close to June in numbers! Favourite read was tagged but I can‘t forget The Nickel Boys; Red, White & Royal Blue; and The Boy. So many good reads! Let‘s see what August brings!

My latest manga obsession!

Some doctors aim for fame, while others uphold their oath to save lives. When brilliant brain surgeon, Dr. Kenzo Tenma, makes the decision to put saving a life over the progression of his career, how is he supposed to know that he‘s really saving an abomination... a monster?

I don‘t know what I was expecting but it definitely wasn‘t this and it is so good! I am so invested in what happens next. If I had to categorize this I would say it‘s a slow burn psychological thriller manga. Most of the characters are likeable in one way or another and there‘s so many layers already being woven into this story I‘m excited to see where this goes.

Really good story with great art. I liked watching the evolution of Dr. Tenma's looks. Could not stop reading. It's not really a mystery since you know where it's all headed. Definitely psychological, but "thriller" feels like the wrong word. Simply "psychological. I had to order the next two volumes after finishing this one.

I've turned off the TV. Time to get some reading done.

It's a bit of a shift from the episodic nature of Master Keaton, with a much more focused overarching plot and a more oppressive tone. A fantastic thriller that I can't wait to continue.

Decided to go with manga for my next #24in48 read. Might have pilfered it from my to-be-catalogued cart. Quality control 🤓
