Merry Christmas, Alex Cross
Merry Christmas, Alex Cross | James Patterson
12 posts | 28 read | 12 to read
It's Christmas Eve and Detective Alex Cross has been called out to catch someone who's robbing his church's poor box. That mission behind him, Alex returns home to celebrate with Bree, Nana, and his children. The tree decorating is barely underway before his phone rings again--a horrific hostage situation is quickly spiraling out of control. Away from his own family on the most precious of days, Alex calls upon every ounce of his training, creativity, and daring to save another family. Alex risks everything--and he may not make it back alive on this most sacred of family days. Alex Cross is a hero for our time, and never more so than in this story of family, action, and the deepest moral choices. MERRY CHRISTMAS, ALEX CROSS will be a holiday classic for years to come.

Mehso-so

This was fine-read it on a plane over Xmas holidays. Not Patterson‘s best but still a good crime and intrigue read. The MC and his family must reconcile the unsavory and unsafe nature of his work which pulls him away from his family Christmas gathering. Raises real issues of choices we make around prioritizing work over family and balancing individual sacrifices for the greater good of society.

Patterson didn't write a very long novel with this one. Including the about the author page and the other ending pages, the whole thing was fewer than 300 pages. It was short, but good!

Because of #LitsyLove, I regularly get happy mail now! I've so enjoyed being a member of it and I've had several requests to post some of my art photos here. Feel free to follow me on Instagram or Facebook, just search RoseRockDesigns on either platform! This one is one of my favorite pieces I've ever done, and I've even worked with blacklight paint!

Someone left this book at my house a few years back and as it had “Christmas” in the title, I had to wait until the right time to read it.

Almost embarrassed to admit that this is my very first time reading James Patterson.

Couldn‘t sleep last night so I started this book. Thanks to Mr. Patterson for keeping me up the rest of the night, finishing his story. You just can‘t go wrong with this author.

I don't think I'd call this a cozy, but it's the only Xmas book I have. I do really want to read it before Christmas though.

It'll have to do for my #day2 of the #DecInBooks17 photo challenge. @bookisglee

Overall, this was a great book! There was a lot of action, but it didn't overtake the story line. The characters were well-developed, even the ones we weren't supposed to like (the "bad" guys)! My only complaint is that I feel like Alex Cross compromised some of his morals in this book. He did somewhat redeem himself in the end though.

I love everything by James Patterson! There's only a handful I haven't read yet!

MrBook I'm the exact opposite in terms of Patterson readings. I've only read "Zoo" so far, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 8y
Lorraine I'm watching the Zoo series on tv right now. His Alex Cross series is my fav👍 8y
