How meta 🇫🇷. On a different note, this book is much more interesting (less dry) than expected!

Librarybelle I loved this book! 2d
JamieArc @Librarybelle Oh cool! Glad to see someone else has read (and liked) it! 2d

This is a total love letter to this river. The history, the meaning of the river from its start to the end. You travel through words through some amazing country. Total fan #readingchallenge2022

Here‘s my progress on #theunreadshelfproject2021. I didn‘t have a book for this month‘s challenge so I decided to read another book I won from a Goodreads giveaway.

Here‘s my review for another book I just finished. I finally got around to reading this one. I read this book for #theunreadshelfproject2021 challenge A Book I Bought At A Used Book Store. I didn‘t have a book for this prompt so I decided to just read whatever I want. I also read this book for #tbrknockout and the prompt is to read something with water on the cover or in the title. This book has water on the cover and in the title.

Thanks for the tag, @DaveGreen7777 !

I wanted to take the concept of enthusiasm to a different level; instead of a character, I thought about infectious writing, writing that is beautiful and the enthusiasm for the subject is contagious.

The tagged book made me want to hop on a plane (I‘m not a fan of flying) and visit France (I read this pre-COVID). Sciolino writes a love letter to the River Seine. Francophiles - a must read! #LitFortuneCookie

DaveGreen7777 Oooh, I love your twist on the enthusiasm theme! Wonderful choice, Jess! 😊 4y

KVanRead Writing whose enthusiasm for its subject is catching - I love this idea and have definitely felt that and it makes for a great read! Hope you make it France some day! Thanks for playing 😊 4y

This is a beautiful love letter to the Seine. Part travelogue, part history, with a dash of memoir, Sciolino takes readers on a journey on the Seine, from its beginning to its end, with a long pause in Paris. Every facet imaginable is discussed, and I loved every minute of this. Highly recommended!

Thanks to #NetGalley and W.W. Norton for a copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review.

Librarybelle 11 hours complete for #24B4Monday . Hope to put in a little bit more. @TheReadingMermaid @Andrew65 @jb72 5y

LinesUponAPage You time yourself reading?? Is that part of your kindle? I‘m curious how you do this?? It might be a good way to be better productive. Can you share how you do it? (edited) 5y
Librarybelle @Lifeisasnap There was a readathon this past weekend...you time how long you read during the readathon. I use the timer on an older iPad, but I think all devices have timers. There are also apps that you can use to keep track of reading every day - they measure how long it takes you to read a book and give reading stats. I‘m not quite to that stage yet! If you browse through the #readathon , you‘ll see announcements for upcoming readathons. 5y

Calling it a night...considering the various non-bookish things I had to do today, this is not a bad time. I‘m nearly halfway through the tagged book (it‘s an arc, and it‘s a good one!). A little over 6 hours for #24B4Monday and 4.5 hours for #Deweys24HourReadathon .

Andrew65 Well done, progressing nicely. 👍 5y
