The Perfect Wife (a Jessie Hunt Psychological Suspense Thriller-Book One)
The Perfect Wife (a Jessie Hunt Psychological Suspense Thriller-Book One) | Blake Pierce
Criminal profiler in training (and newlywed) Jessie Hunt, 29, discovers that dark secrets lurk in her new suburban town; when a body turns up dead, she finds herself caught in the crosshairs of her newfound friends, her husband's secrets, her serial killer caseload--and the secrets of her own dark past. In THE PERFECT WIFE (A Jessie Hunt Psychological Suspense Thriller--Book One), Criminal profiler-in-training Jessie Hunt is sure she's finally put the darkness of her childhood behind her. She and her husband, Kyle, just moved from a cramped downtown Los Angeles apartment into a Westport Beach mansion. Kyle's promotion has them swimming in money. And Jessie is on the verge of getting her Master's degree in forensic psychology, the last step in her dream of becoming a criminal profiler. But soon after their arrival, Jessie begins to notice a series of strange developments. The neighbors--and their au pairs--all seem to be hiding secrets. The mysterious yacht club Kyle is desperate to join is rife with cheating spouses, and with troubling rules of its own. And the notorious serial killer being held at the psychiatric hospital where Jessie is completing her degree seems to know more about her life than is normal--or safe. As her world starts to unravel, Jessie begins to question everything around her--including her own sanity. Has she truly uncovered a disturbing conspiracy buried within a sunny, wealthy Southern California beach town? Does the mass murderer she's studying really somehow know the origin of her private nightmares? Or has her tortured past finally come back to claim her? A fast-paced psychological suspense thriller with unforgettable characters and heart-pounding suspense, THE PERFECT WIFE is book #1 in a riveting new series that will leave you turning pages late into the night.

Book was not in data base. Never tell by Blake Pierce. This was the second book in this series. I enjoyed it so much. Great writing. It kept me on my toes the entire book.

Believe it or not this “thriller” is actually a lighter read. One can listen to it while doing something else. It‘s a bit predictable. This is the first in a long series. I‘m interested in watching how the main character grows. Jesse Hunt is a soon to be Criminal Profiler. That alone caught my interest.

I started this yesterday. Then found out it has about 12 in the series. I think this one is rather interested and a bit weird but I don‘t know if I‘m up to 12 in a series. Anyway, the main character is studying to be a criminal profiler. The writing is good but this narrator... not so much

First audiobook for the #JubliantJuly completed. Look forward to the next one.
Regarding the book it was decent read and fast too. The plot was suspenseful but could be seen through without much effort. As usual a guy behind bars does the string pulling and directing and i never like this. I stopped the Avery black series just because of this. But still this is quite a good book showing that people are not always what they seem to (Continued⬇️)

ishan0986 Even if you know them for a decade. They can hide from you the ulgy sides. The other thing how we develop blind spots for people we love. In all a quick read that's not half bad. 4y
ishan0986 @Andrew65 thanks for hosting the #JubliantJuly and letting me in. 4y

So i loved The Perfect Wife by Blake Pierce. I couldnt put it down and look forward to the rest of the series. I know nothing about this author so when i go on Amazon to look at her other books i noticed something cool. Book 1 of each of her series is available for free. Now i have each book 1 and spent nothing. I thought I'd share in case anyone else wanted to take advantage of that. #kindle #bookdeal #blurb

My 2nd audio book for the year
Of course, it dealt with serial killers and psychopaths. What can I say, I just love books like that. The author did a good job at keeping you wondering what had happened to Jessie in the past.

My last book of 2019. I only managed 35 of my 50 book challenge for 2019 (does not include rereads). It‘s been a fun but busy year and happy to have read some great books anyway!

Amiable Great reading! 👍🏼 5y

I downloaded this free ebook on a whim & it wasn‘t bad. I‘m certainly interested in the main character but also wonder if a different title might have been better??? Several of the first books in this author‘s series are free from amazon (ebooks) so I‘ll prob check out some others.

eanderson I read one of his books... I think it was called Watching. It was pretty good! 5y
