Savoring this hulk of f a book A Day of Fallen Night loving it so far , on vacation but doing a few things with the kiddos so my goal is to finish ADOFN and The Only One Left

Another pandemic breaks out on top of the COVID pandemic in which everyone starts violently killing each other. This story was brilliantly done because of the character development. The book was 500 pages and I didn't want it to end. Trigger warning for domestic violence. The author does a good job explaining in the introduction why she wrote it that way and where she comes from.

I finished 3 of my 4 planned books, read 3 unplanned books and finished 2 buddy reads. My least favorite was Excellent Women. A bunch of unlikeable characters who l didn‘t really enjoy spending time with. The rest were all good not great.

📚Am still a ways off from finishing Pt. 3 of A Promised Land but did manage to get work on it and think I could get it done by next week
📚Am very close to finishing The Duke and I

I am pretty pleased with my reading as I managed to get at least a chapter of one book each day. Looking forward to August!
