Mehso-so

Meh. I keep trying this new RL Stine stuff and it's just not working for me. This started off cool, but the need for there to be a twist no matter how stupid ruined the ending for me. (2 pts. 1 for book, 1 for post)

This was a confusing read; not good when it comes to middle-grade reading, as the basic storyline should be easy to follow. It started as tho a chapter was missing. Since the famed author is adept at stringing a yarn or 2 together, I kept thinking it was going to become crystal clear. I enjoyed the illustrations and concepts involved but if the Scare School is going work in GN form, the storylines have got to be clearer than this.

tjwill Totally agree. My 8yo daughter and I are about 2/3 through it now, and while it has some interesting concepts, it started too abruptly for me to care much about what happens to the characters. 5y
