Thanks for the tag @JenReadsAlot 💕

🌸 More or less! I've been a bit distracted of late, so I've not done as much as I'd like

🌼 It's my go-to activity when I'm not doing anything scheduled! I don't watch a great deal of TV and I'm (thankfully) part-time, so I spend time reading when I have down time

🌺 Cosy crime. Golden age mystery, for example. Nice and murdery, but nothing too triggering!

JenReadsAlot Omg nice and murdery made me giggle! 2y

Pickpick

I‘m giving book 2 in the Hamish Macbeth series a low pick. I think it still hasn‘t quite found its footing at this point but I have confidence it will. I do really like Hamish and the narrator does a great job. It was a little better than book 1 imo. So happy these are all available on Audible Plus! 3.5⭐️

I prefer the Hamish Macbeth series to Agatha Raisin. Hamish is gentler and more clever than Agatha, and I only occasionally suffer from second hand embarrassment for him. The audiobooks (which I‘ve been binging) allow to knit as well. #satisfying

LiteraryinPA This is beautiful yarn! 7y
MissHel Thanks! It‘s Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball in Lotus Blossom. I got it at the Walmart, of all places. 7y

I think I'd have to go with Hamish Macbeth, from the mystery series by MC Beaton...he's kind of the Colombo of Scotland. He's resourceful, he's intelligent, in a bumbling sort of way. If I'm lucky, one of the Lochdubh villagers may help too! #bookstotherescue

mrsmarch SO true. He can leave Priscilla behind and bring the dog. 7y

Andrew65 Think I'll go for Ben Hope from the books written by Scott Mariani. If he's on my side the kidnappers will definitely regret it. 7y
Librarybelle @Andrew65 Just looked up the series...sounds good! 7y
Andrew65 @Librarybelle One of my favourite series. I'm currently on book 14. (edited) 7y
Librarybelle @Andrew65 There goes my tbr list... 🙂 7y
the.bookish.valkyrie Lol, definitely going to have to check out "...the Colombo of Scotland"! My #TBR list grows ever longer, lol! 7y
Librarybelle @ValkyrieAndHerBooks Many people think he's dumb and lazy, but he's not! I love the series. Fast reads with quirky characters. 7y
Jaimelire Poirot....and Nancy Drew! 7y
Andrew65 @ValkyrieAndHerBooks @Librarybelle I love the Hamish Macbeth Series too. 7y
Librarybelle @Jaimelire I almost chose Poirot! 7y
Velvetsun Love Hamish. 7y

This is a tough question...while I would love to live in the world of Jane Austen (no surprise there!), I'm also a girl who needs modern amenities. I my like historical stuff, but I wouldn't last a day in a bygone era.

So, I have to choose Lochdubh, the village of Hamish Macbeth. I know, murder abounds in the Scottish Highlands in Beaton's fictional world, but somewhere so far removed with quirky neighbors. I'd give it a try! #beamintobooks

BarbaraTheBibliophage This one looks like a fun and mysterious book to dive into! 📚📚👏🏻👏🏻 7y
