I love Matthew Norman‘s novels, and this was a fun listen. It wasn‘t quite as funny as his previous novels but I enjoyed the characters a lot and it would be a great rom-com movie.

I liked this book very much. I listened to it and Kristen Sieh is such an amazing as narrator. I was literally laughing out loud at the hilarious, but relatable characters and situations. I was invested in Jessica and Mitch and their family. I don't usually read romance, and it's not a typical romance but I loved it for #ValentinesDayRead #2022 #lastcouplestanding
I'm taking a break from thrillers after a binge on my guilty pleasure books. This book seems really cool, I've had my eye on it for a while and I'm excited to get started! Not in the mood for gloom and doom for today.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ The divorces of several of their close friends launch Jessica and Mitch into a midlife crisis where they decide to try an open marriage. There are ground rules and all that, but from the onset you know it‘ll blow up in their faces. And they have two small kids. I took this story as satire, but I‘m not sure it‘s meant to be. Loved Mitch, hated Jessica. Loved Luke, hated Scarlett. Seems about right from a male author. Still, an ok read.
A little morning reading 📚 time with my babies. This is how they earn their weekend video games. 🎮 They like to read, but sometimes need a little motivation.

This was fine, nothing special to write home about. I doubt I will remember this book in few days.
I‘m on the fence here. On one hand, the main characters and their actions were pretty deplorable. However, on the other hand, they were also oddly justified. This book manages to poke fun at the epidemic that divorce really is. The grass really is always greener on the other side. What I did like was how the supporting stories came so nicely together in a slice of life, comical sort of way. Uneven overall, but far from a waste of time.
I‘ve read a Matthew Norman book before and I was a fan. Hope to go 2 for 2!
