What an impressive debut! This was such a page turner for me and I loved it, perhaps way more than I expected to!

It was harrowing to read about how women was treated - as though women are a thing, a test subject. If you‘re not following rules set by men of the house, then you‘re mental. So off to the mental hospital you go.

Some of the scenes thoroughly broke me and made me so terribly mad. Must read. Five solid stars!

Helen Hoang‘s The Kiss Quotient series was the first romance series I picked up after a good 10 years and I love it with every single fibre of my body.

Quan and Anna both are thoroughly imperfect in their own way, but so utterly perfect for each other. I loved their dynamics and how they help each other to grow and step out from their old shadows.

Five solid stars.

I‘m glad I picked this up. It‘s very thought-provoking, how decisions can lead to various degrees of differences in a woman‘s life, and in this case, 9 potential outcome of a woman‘s life depending on how she react in one situation. This is an answer to a lot of what ifs, especially in a marriage life.

A solid 4 on this.

Happy Pub Day! I thought that the book had a brilliant start. The first few pages blew me away. As the book carries on, we were taken into the world of a myriad of characters. Initially, the sheer number of characters can be confusing but after a while, you tend to see each angle of each different characters in a different way and when you finally reach the climax where all characters come together, it simply is quite a thing.

The start of the book is actually quite promising. The premise is interesting though the writing is sub par. Felt like a school essay kind of writing.

The book gives an interesting take on astrology but what would you do if you inherited a book that has your entire future spelled out for you.

3 stars for this one and a promising book with better writing. Special thanks to NetGalley for this advanced reader‘s copy. #netgalley #huntingthewren

This was such a haunting read. The brutalities of war made me sick in my gut but this is also a book about the incredible strength of women, and friendship, and forgiveness. I haven‘t read an Asian lit I loved as much as this in a long time. This book is a masterclass.

This book was all and more than I could have ever wanted from a book two of a series! Nothing about it was ever boring. Every character has the growth they needed. I was utterly destroyed towards the end of the book but was saved with the ending. Absolutely fantastic.

I was really looking forward to the final instalment in this series because I‘m a hard core fan of Grey. This book didn‘t quite do it for me. I was literally rolling my eyes on some parts and never quite got into the whole Lia Mara and Grey dynamics. I stan Harper and Grey. Lol. It‘s a 3.8 star for me for this one. #review #fantasy

I actually really like this book and think that this is a MUST READ in order to truly understand Celaena‘s story and why she is the way she is in the rest of the series. I think that she is foolish at times, but mostly got a good head on that shoulder and too loyal, too upright, and too young.

Also, Sam Cortland is my MVP! :)

I knew I would enjoy this book the moment I picked it up. A couple of chapters in and I was sold. Went ahead and bought book 3 to 5 and the novella. Lol.

I loved the bad assery of the heroine. An assassin. Best in the world at that and put those male warriors to shame with her skills and wits. Loved her attitude too, and how she knew exactly what she wanted and need.

Solid five stars. :)

Fang Runin.
What a growth for this character.

Everything about this book and closure blows me away. I‘m a total wreck. The brilliance behind how the story is weaved and taken after actual history is downright brilliant yet so very brutal. I will need some time to recover from this.

Interesting read. As human we tend to need the getaway from our daily hustle and bustle. Chris Knight took it to a whole new level. I wonder if I could do the same. I am content to staying home all the time without the need or want to leave the confines of my home to head out. But again, I have enough human connection vs none at all. Hugging is my universal language. I do find the author's obsession about Chris a tad bit alarming.

This is a fascinating read. So interesting to get behind the scenes and mind of one of UK's most brilliant pathologist. You learnt that there are so much more than just a post mortem. Also, interesting insight behind September 11 in US as well as.... Princess Diana's accident! If medical non fiction is what you enjoy, you will love this!

The first half of the book infuriates me! Like I am sooooo mad with Reid and Lou. The second half picked up and was the saving grace of book 2.

I'm torn between a 3.5 to 4 for this one. But for book 1's premise, I will give this a 4.

I don't usually read or listen to non fiction that much but this book came so highly recommended, that I decided to give it a go. I loved it! I laughed and cried, and some parts felt like it was written especially for me. I learnt so much from this book and relearnt about living once again in the best possible way - by letting go of unnecessary thoughts and things. Great book!

This book gave me the same feels as when I read Half Of A Yellow Sun by Chimamanda. The grit, the courage, the pain, the fear, and most of all, the want to learn kept me reading from start to finish. Adunni is truly a character like no other.

This book explores a lot of uncomfortable topics and maybe it was that very reason that made it so interesting, yet tough to read all at the same time.

Take my heart, Ken Liu. Take it all. Such a wild journey i have been on with this book. The heartache is real. I bawled in tears. I was angry. I was frustrated. Most of all, i love how strong the female characters are in this book. Thanks for the ride. Till we meet again in book 3. #epicfantasy #bookreview
