While writing the last post, I remembered I never finished the 12 books of Christmas or posted my top 2022 books. I did a Top 12 because these were clearly my favorites. Five happen to be Kentucky authors. #2022

Just realized I shared my top reads of 2022 everywhere BUT here. 😂 My goal was 150; I read 160. In previous years, I‘d broken 200 but I‘m trying to make space for other hobbies, too (podcasts, shows … you know, book adjacent things)! Of my 160, 75 were nonfiction. About half which is pretty on par for me.

Considering everything that was going in my life, it was a pretty good reading year. I had hoped to read more, but life got in the way. I am hoping that this year I will be able to read more, but I'll see how things go. #2022 #yearinbooks #goodreads

I finished 111 books this year, including my last one for the year at 11:58pm. I really embraced the audiobook this year. I find I can take in so much more that way. I also find it much more comfortable to listen to an audiobook while on the bus than reading a physical book or ebook.

This series was definitely the highlight of #2022 for me. I loved it so much I got the Bookish Box special editions. I can't wait to finally read books 7 and 8! 😁

How I felt about 2022. This year was a really hard year for me and isn't really one I would like to revisit. I am very hopeful that 2023 will be better; at least I won't be undergoing cancer treatments and I should hopefully continue healing from my cancer treatments and surgeries. #2022
