I love this series. Such well rounded characters, even the minor ones, and lots of plot surprises as well. I keep hoping things will get better for poor Ian.

Three books finished during the #readathon
One planned, two added when they came up sooner than expected on Libby.
From the original plan, one book was returned unread (for now), and the other is still in progress.
Scotland Yard‘s Inspector Ian Rutledge‘s character suffers from PTSD, a war wound that has left him with a voice from “Hamish” (a fellow soldier)in his head. A fascinating mystery for Rutledge to solve thereby doing your duty or saving your sanity. ENJOY
So while this one was dryer and a touch duller than the others, it's always the wonderful narration by Simon Prebble that makes these sing!
#bookmail time! Just got this lovely in the mail today! The synopsis made it sound interesting. Has anyone read this one yet?
