It had some good tips and ideas, but the methods do not work in all places and work positions. This is the kind of book where you take what you need.

About three years ago, I read The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, and Marie‘s philosophy transformed my perspective of material possessions. I figured if I‘m ever going to read this book, it needs to be now. Since my retirement plans are in place, I thought I waited too long to read this book. I was wrong and glad I stuck with it.

Whilst this book did have some helpful tips regarding how to manage the endless demands to attend meetings and dealing with an never ending email inbox- the old declutter your desk and office supplies was a bit overdone for me. #joyatwork #mariekondo #tea_sipping_bookworm #bookqueen #bookstagram #goodreads #litsy #thestorygraph

This is a timely read, at a time when I‘ve been transferred to a new JV. This helps to set my mind positively and helped to work my mind, leaving the past and negativity behind. A lot of good takes from this book! “Joy at work sparks joy in life” It‘s time to move on and tidy my work life during this uncertainty 💪🏻

Am working from home now I thought it would be a good idea to get some tips about tidying up my "office".
As a self help book it sorta works. The addition of the co-author helped it not be such a tidying up book and I did get a few tips from it. But somehow I feel that this is one of those that are not grounded in the "real world" or perhaps because I am a serial hoarder is never going to work for me.??

Sace I'm a serial hoarder too 😁 4y
Prairiegirl_reading I wouldn‘t call myself a hoarder but I still don‘t think this would work for me either. (Maybe hoarder adjacent?) 4y

Another abbreviated book version on Blinkist. Therein is exactly _one_ idea I found helpful: Imagining my ideal work space and my ideal work day.

The rest sounded good but doesn‘t provide real new advice, just basics.

The main issue I‘ve got, is that all that the authors suggest indicate they never worked at a place with too few personnel, too few time, too much work and rigid structures.

Their method is just impossible to implement.

3.5 ? It has its ups and downs but I actually enjoyed some of the content and advice on tidying (which I hope to try). It also sounds like just cleaning up can't possibly help you pick up other aspects of your life but I think it can...to a degree. I think it works well in combo with the advice on "Don't Overthink It" but it can be a bit less useful unless you work in an office setting, which I don't #selfhelp

It's not the best time to be reading this #arc since I've been working from home for over 3 weeks so far, but I'm still interested in what these recommendations are. I've already used aspects of her other books at work and liked them. #netgalley
