When Christmas shopping, what is an acceptable ratio of # books to buy for yourself vs # of books to buy as gifts? Asking for a friend....
wanderinglynn I think 1 to 3. For every 1 you buy for someone else, get 3 for yourself: 1 because supporting authors, 2 because you‘re buying for someone else, & 3 for surviving holiday shopping. 😉🤣 1y
TEArificbooks Reward yourself, you work hard shopping and wrapping. I do a minimum of 1:1 and it doesn‘t have to be books. Got my mom a gift, congratulate myself with a book. 1y
