One hundred of todays most prominent literary and cultural icons talk about the books that hold a special place in their heartsthat made them who they are today. Leading authors, politicians, CEOs, actors, and other notables share the books that changed their life, why they love them, and their passion with readers everywhere. Regan Arts has teamed up with the literary charity 826National, which will receive a portion of the books proceeds to provide students ages 618 with opportunities to explore their creativity and improve their writing skills. Contributors include Al Roker, Carl Hiaasen, Dave Eggers, Emma Straub, Eric Idle, Fay Weldon, Fran Lebowitz, Gillian Flynn, Gregory Maguire, Jeff Kinney, Jim Shepard, Laura Lippmann, Lev Grossman, Liev Schreiber, Margaret Atwood, Mayim Bialik, Nelson DeMille, Rosanne Cash, Susan Orlean, Tim Gunn, and Tommy Hilfiger, among others.

Ideas for my stalker @BookishMarginalia #FallBookExchange #HalloweenGoesPostal P.S. I fold pages instead of using bookmarks. I like to read in bed while drinking tea or on my blue armchair while drinking alcohol. Used books are a ok with me as I also read in the bath, on the beach and in the spa. What I mean to say is that is I am rough on my books.

I love this book which is reflections from authors, actors, musicians and other people. Quick read essays. My week's recommendation.

Nute I have always enjoyed reading this type of book. Reflections on why people read, the books they choose and why those stories matter to them. This was a fun sentimental read because many of the books that touched the lives of several of these folks also meant something to me, and I hadn't thought about some of these books in long time. 8y

Interesting cross-section of authors and other famous people (including Lt General Flora Darpino, first female US Army judge advocate general). A quick read and easy to pick up and put down.
