pickThis volume was a little less interesting to me- Dark Jem- a virus is in Synergy. The concept is intriguing but I guess I wasn't enamoured with the way it played out, plus I think the wrap of it was just a little too easy.
Also, Aja and her man are def my fave 💙💙💙
I‘m all laid up after my second COVID vaccine. But I‘ve been reading the Jem graphic novels and I must say that they are DELIGHTFUL. Updated to be inclusive and gay as hell, I highly recommend them. Sophie Campbell is one of my favorite comic artists also.

Last week, #TheChild in me lost her mind at Awesome Con, seeing the Star Trek TNG cast, actors from The Princess Bride, and meeting the voice actor from Jem! I had to buy a Pop from her, and followed it up with buying a Jem comic book this week. 😊😊😊

pickI really liked the Dark Jem storyline. Sophie Campbell's art is phenomenal as always. I love Jem Bartel as well. I am looking forward to reading volumes 4 and 5.
pickSecond read of the #24in48 challenge - I absolutely adore this blast from my childhood. This one took a quite darker turn than the last few - hence the title. 😏
panThe writing has always been the weak point of this series, but this volume was particularly bad. Plotting was super-choppy, and even the art fell flat for me a bit. I did enjoy seeing Pizzazz's vulnerable side and that Rio is more of a stand-up guy in this series. I'll probably stop here, despite my fierce Jen fan girl love.
pickWith all that is happening in the world, I have been going to my comfort reads. Books I loved as a kid. Anne of Green Gables. Little House on the Prairie. And Jem. Only Kelly Thompson could do a reboot of a nostalgic, iconic series & make it modern & fun to read. (FYI the original does not hold up.)
