It‘s been a long week with very little reading as the pain has made things too hard to focus, but I finally completed this one today. It‘s a good overview of different paths, doesn‘t cover all of them of course but it is good for somewhere to start. I‘m sure there are more modern books but this is a good place to start.

AkashaVampie @ElizaMarie here might be a good to start since it shows u a little of everything. 3y
Darklunarose @AkashaVampie a little of the main things, and I think written early 2000s but a good base. 3y
AkashaVampie @Darklunarose thanks sweetie. @ElizaMarie has been thinking about getting into paganism. 3y

So the last few days have been a days of pain and drifting in and out of consciousness. I don't ring ambulances if I can help it but this period has been like labour and all my pain relife and tricks did nothing. The hospital ended up giving me a ton of fentynl. Which helped thank god. As for pethidine... I do t like it. Made me so far off with the pixies I collapsed on the emergency room floor. Still in bad pain today.

Suet624 I hope you feel better soon. 4y
Darklunarose @Suet624 I hope so too. 4y

Ruthiella Oh dear! I hope you feel better soon and find something that works to relieve your pain safely and consistently! ❤️❤️❤️ 4y
Darklunarose @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm me too. I have been doing this for 20 years or so. But it‘s getting worse and worse and this is the worst I have had. Have a diagnosis of chronic menorrhagia but the dr is querying endometriosis as well. Cause you don‘t get this type of pain without endo 4y
Darklunarose @Ruthiella I‘m beginning to think there is nothing on prescription that will work now. I take tranxamic acid, I take naproxen, I take neurofen I take codeine. I have tramadol and I‘m close to trying that today to! (edited) 4y
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm Oh wow! That‘s a long time to be living with that pain. You are very strong to have dealt with it this long. 💪🏻 My husband suffers from pain with an undiagnosed cause, so I‘ve seen how difficult it can make some of the simplest things in life. My heart is with you, hoping the doctors can figure something out. ❤️❤️ 4y
Darklunarose @MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm gentle hugs for your husband. There is nothing worse then being chorinically in pain and no one knowing why. It must feel like no one believes it some days. 4y
MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm Thank you. ❤️ He goes through that all the time. It‘s very frustrating when people imply he‘s faking. Nowadays I get more upset about it than he does, but I know it still bothers him, especially when it‘s family. 😢 4y
Reggie Oof, I hope you feel better. 4y
CarolynM I'm so sorry you're suffering so much. Hope you feel better and get treatment that provides long term relief💕 4y
Clare-Dragonfly Oh no! That sounds awful. I hope the doctors are able to find the source and it‘s something fixable. 4y
Darklunarose @Reggie hopefully soon. Still pretty sore and using high end pain relief. Fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow 4y
Darklunarose @CarolynM ❤️ back to the dr next week to discuss options. I‘m at the I give up, I need this to stop stage. 4y
Darklunarose @Clare-Dragonfly source is hard to find. But I‘m thinking surgery is an option even if it‘s what I have tried to avoid for years. 4y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick That sounds awful. I'm so sorry this pain is part of your life. Sending hugs & good juju your way for relief and answers. 4y

Slowly reading away..... attempting daily meditation now as well but am learning meditation and cats make for interesting times. Lock them out the room they scratch to get in. Don‘t lock them out and they sit on your lap!

Ruthiella Cats! Allow them EVERY SURFACE in the house but (a) kitchen counter and (b) dog bed (when dog is occupying said bed) and they will want only to occupy the forbidden zone! 😹😹😹 4y
Darklunarose @Ruthiella and that right there is cats to a T! Just like scratching posts, spend hundreds on cat trees and cardboard scratchers, and they still use my lounge! 4y
