I really miss old school Dean Koontz back in the era of Watchers, Twilight Eyes, Strangers, Fear Nothing. I guess those would be from the 80s-90s. His stuff from the last 15 years I do not enjoy. This book was boring, with an interesting idea at the core, but one that took almost the entire book to get to the point, and little of the plot leading up to it ended up feeling revelatory. The story dragged, clues were too vague to work. Disappointing.

CocoReads I bailed on that one for those same reasons. It felt as if he was getting paid by the word. 7y
Bookgirl @CocoReads exactly! So tedious. I only finished because this is my “Y” for #LitsyAtoZ 7y
Debiw781 Exactly! I miss his old stuff 7y

Linear The only book ive read of his was Whispers, because my dad "no balls"ed me in High school. How did you feel about that one? 7y
Bookgirl @Linear I didn‘t love that one...it was a little too sick and twisted for me. Not boring like this one above though! Try Watchers. I think that‘s the best. 7y
Cinsai Have you read From the Corner of His Eye? Really liked that one. And The Odd Thomas series is my favorite! 7y
Cinsai But, yeah, this one was a slog. 7y
