How I love these books (and their covers)!
4 🌟This is the first book in the series that I struggled to get into. The murder mystery didn‘t really grab me at first. I was most interested in the arrival of Carlotta and her claim to be the Duke‘s presumed-dead daughter. There were parallels between Carlotta and Kendra‘s entries to the Duke‘s household.
Overall, while this entry in the series took its time drawing me in, once it did I was happy to be immersed in Kendra‘s story.
And the last of the Kendra Donovan series by Julie McElwain - Powered through this entire 5 book series very quickly, loved the characters, their relationship development, the mysteries, and the understated romance. This is a character driven series and each instalment has a strong plot. Loved them all ❤️
This is Kendra Donovan book 5. I love it! I love this series and thank @Librarybelle for introducing it to me. An FBI agent who time traveled to regency England, and uses her knowledge to solve crimes without creating a paradox.
More Birthday treats. The newest book in a favorite series, yummy fruit platter with honeydew, cantaloupe and yellow watermelon and vegan cheesecake. #veganbirthday my daughter also made cake for her godfather and girlfriend whose birthdays are today.
Day 4 of #20series20days is a time traveling mystery series. Think Outlander meets Criminal Minds, with a dash of Jane Austen. I‘ve read two of the books so far, and book five was published just last week.
